The National Bioethics Commission on Tuesday will review the ova donation controversy surrounding cloning pioneer Hwang Woo-suk.

The commission will hear the results of an investigation on ova used in Hwang's research conducted by an ethics panel of the veterinary science department at Seoul National University.

Commission staff, however, are evenly split over the issue, with one side urging a third party to reexamine the case and the other seeking to form a support system for stem cell research.
