An emergency committee will run the World Stem Cell Hub in Seoul under an acting chief in the wake of the resignation of cloning pioneer Hwang Woo-suk.

The Seoul National University Hospital on Monday said it will name the acting chief early next month when Seoul Stem Cell Bank head Im Jeong-ki and Hwang's top assistant Ahn Kyu-ri return home.

Hwang last week admitted to ethical lapses in his research and resigned from all of his official posts.

Im is scheduled to return Friday after attending an overseas seminar and Ahn will come back on December 6th after visiting the United States and Japan.
