The soccer site Football Asia says national soccer coach Dick Advocaat is not under the same pressure that his predecessor Jo Bonfrere suffered.

Seoul-based columnist John Duerden on Wednesday said Advocaat knows he will not get fired and thus can experiment with the lineup without worrying over the results.

Duerden also said Advocaat arrived in the country at a time when the Korea Football Association felt the need to support the new coach after predecessors Bonfrere or Humberto Coehlo had griped about lack of support and adequate time.

The writer called the team's improvement after Advocaat's appointment striking, noting the improved aggressive and offensive performances which has drawn comparisons to the miracle 2002 World Cup squad.
