K-1 Fighter to Work on Kicking Techniques

K-1 fighter Choi Hong-man says he will work on his kicking techniques.

Returning to Seoul Tuesday, the man dubbed "Techno Goliath" told reporters that he learned much from his quarterfinal loss in the World Grand Prix in Tokyo Saturday to two-time champion Remy Bonjasky of the Netherlands.

He said he focused on boxing this year, but will emphasize kicking in training next year.

After seeing the eventual champion Semmy Schilt easily beat Bonjasky later, Choi said he regretted not practicing kicks enough and that he must also kick like Schilt.

Choi also said he injured his left calf while training ahead of the fight, but that it was marginal.
