Shooting Guard to Strive for NBA Next Year

Sharpshooting guard Bang Sung-yoon says he wants to finally break into the U.S. National Basketball Association next season.

Returning to Seoul Monday evening, the 6-foot-5 Bang will play for the SK Knights of the Korea Basketball League after spending last season with the Roanoke Dazzle of the National Basketball Developmental League, a minor league run by the NBA.

As a starter for the Dazzle, he averaged 12.2 points last season.

Portland Trailblazer center Ha Seung-jin is the first and only player from South Korea in the NBA.
