Boxer, Swimmer Win Gold in Int'l Meets

A boxer has won the country's second gold medal at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in Mianyang, China.

Lee Ok-seong, fighting for Boeun County Office in North Chungcheong Province, won the 51-kilogram class to become only the second boxer to win gold at the event since Moon Seong-gil in 1986.

Meanwhile, Park Tae-hwan won his second gold at the FINA World Cup in Sydney, Australia.

He took the men's 1,500-meter freestyle with a time of 14 minutes and 44.87 seconds, three seconds faster than the American runner-up, to add to his gold won Saturday in the 400-meter freestyle.
