The Los Angeles Times has ranked the national soccer team eleventh out of the 32 countries to compete in next year's Germany World Cup.

The daily on Thursday did not explain the specific basis for its ranking, only citing the team's 2-0 win over Serbia-Montenegro Wednesday in a friendly match in Seoul.

Brazil was atop the list, followed by the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, France and England.

South Korea was Asia's top team on the list, and was put ahead of the United States, Portugal and Sweden.

Among Asian teams, Japan was ranked 15th, Iran 22nd and Saudi Arabia 29th.
