K-1 Fighter to Face Defending Champ Sat.

"Techno Goliath" Choi Hong-man on Saturday will fight Remy Bonjasky of the Netherlands in the quarterfinals of the K-1 Grand Prix Final at the Tokyo Dome.

Choi, a former champion wrestler, will face his toughest test as a K-1 fighter against defending champion Bonjasky, who is nicknamed the "Flying Dutchman" for his aerial knee kicks.

Bonjasky has won the last two World Grand Prix tournaments and is a favorite this year.

At 7-foot-2 and 353 pounds, Choi has a big size advantage over the 6-foot-4, 229 pound Bonjasky, but the South Korean is seen as the underdog.

But Bonjasky in 2003 showed his weakness against taller opponents with longer reach, losing to 6-feet-11 giant and fellow Dutchman Semmy Schilt.

One K-1 analyst in South Korea said Choi has a 50-50 chance of winning, but will have the advantage if the fight ends quickly.

If he prevails, Choi will face the winner of the Schilt-Ray Sefo fight in the semifinals.
