Tottenham Hotspur defender Lee Young-pyo says Europe's soccer culture is worthy of envy.

In a ceremony marking his partnership deal with Korea Exchange Bank Thursday, Lee said he is impressed with the long history of European soccer, and urged South Korea to further develop its culture in the sport.

He said grandparents in Europe attend games with their offspring and that stadiums are packed on weekends.
