Rookie Lee Jee-young on Sunday won in her first LPGA tournament on Jeju Island.

In the CJ Nine Bridges Classic, the 20-year-old Lee finished with a five under-211 to win the tournament and 202,500 dollars.

She hit in the final third round three birdies and four bogeys despite chilly weather and strong winds.

Her upset win makes her eligible for LPGA tournaments over the next two years.

Kim Mi-hyun and Carin Koch of Sweden finished tied for second at two under-214.

Lee is the second non-LPGA player to win a tour event after Ahn Shi-hyun.
