Nation Wins 1st Gold at E. Asian Games

South Korea has won its first gold medal at the fourth East Asian Games underway in Macau.

The medal came in the martial art event of Wushu on the back of Lee Seung-keun's score of 9.75 points.

South Korean athletes also won silvers and a bronze in Wushu over the weekend.

A total of 235 gold medals are up for grabs in 17 sports during the nine-day regional competition. The quadrennial event kicked off Saturday with the participation of some 3,800 athletes from nine nations.
