The Korean Basketball League and its ten teams kicked off the new season over the weekend, with some notable figures having switched teams in the offseason.

Former players in the U.S. National Basketball Association are also expected to draw fans this year.

Forward Dontae Jones of the Anyang KT&G Kites has played for three NBA teams and was a hit among South Korean fans last year.

Jeonju center Sharone Wright was the sixth overall pick in the 1994 NBA draft.

Meanwhile, Jay Humphries, who played guard in the NBA for more than a decade, is the coach of the Incheon Electro Land Black Slammers.
