Soccer Rank Falls for 4th Straight Month

The national soccer team's rank has fallen for the fourth straight month.

Soccer's world governing body FIFA on Wednesday downgraded the team's rank three notches to 29th after an earlier downgrade to 26th in September.

Japan is the highest-ranked Asian team at 16th while Iran fell from 18th to 21st following its 2-0 exhibition loss to South Korea last week.

Brazil retained the world's top spot, followed by the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Argentina, France, Mexico, the United States, Spain, England and Portugal.

Sweden, which will play South Korea in a friendly on November 12th, also saw its rank fall three spots to 13th.
