Kim Jong-hoon on Sunday drove in the winning run in the 12th inning as the Samsung Lions beat the Doosan Bears, 3-2, to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Korean Series.

In Daegu Stadium, Kim Jae-gul hit a double to start the inning and scored the game winner on Kim Jong-hoon's single.

Samsung pinch hitter Kim Dai-ick hit a clutch solo homer in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings.

Doosan on Tuesday will play Game 3 at home at Chamsil Stadium in Seoul, but no team has rallied from an 0-2 deficit in Korean Series history.

Samsung rookie reliever Oh Seung-hwan pitched three shutout innings with five strikeouts to win his first game of the series.

The game was the longest in a Korean Series at four hours and 45 minutes.
