Soccer Team 10th Among WC Qualifiers

The national soccer team is ranked tenth among the 27 countries who have qualified for next year's World Cup finals in Germany.
Sportbladet on Friday said it based its ranking on South Korea's semifinal advance in the 2002 World Cup and its earlier qualification for next year's tournament in the Asian zone.
Brazil was ranked first, followed by the Netherlands, Argentina, France and Germany.
Ranked 26th in the FIFA world rankings, South Korea on November 12th will face Sweden, who was ranked ninth, in a friendly in Seoul.
Five more slots in the World Cup next year will be decided by playoffs.
