Koreas to March Together at EA Games

Athletes from the two Koreas will again enter together the opening and closing ceremonies of an international sporting event.

The Korea Olympic Committee in Seoul said Thursday that it agreed with North Korea to have their delegations march together at both ceremonies of the fourth East Asian Games in Macau.

The sports delegations of the two Koreas have marched together six times at global events since the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

The two sides will use "Korea" as their country name, the traditional Korean folk song "Arirang" as their national anthem and carry the Korean Peninsula flag in their marches.

South Korea will send 401 athletes and the North 160 to the games, which run from October 29th through November 6th.
