Manchester United Coach Alex Ferguson says Park Ji-sung was a better choice than Newcastle player Michael Owen.

Ferguson told Britain's Sky Sports TV on Sunday that bringing in Owen was an option but that he preferred Park instead.

Expressing pride in Park as a Manchester United player, he said the Korean midfielder represents the future and will become a great player.
