Advocaat to Stress Players' Mental Strength

National soccer coach Dick Advocaat says he will put the most emphasis on players' mental strength.

In a Friday news conference, Advocaat said he will snub weak-minded players even if they played in the 2002 World Cup, adding he will pick those who perform well regardless of age.

He said confidence boosting is the most important task for the team and that he will assess each player before training camp in January.

Advocaat also announced the list of 24 players for a friendly match with Iran on October 12th. The list included Park Ji-sung, Lee Young-pyo and four others playing abroad and those in the domestic league including Park Chu-young and Song Chong-gug.

The team will assemble on October 7th to prepare for the Iran match.
