New Soccer Coach Arrives in Seoul

The new coach of the national soccer team, Dick Advocaat, on Thursday arrived in Seoul.

At Incheon International Airport, Advocaat told reporters that he is confident the team will do well in next year's World Cup though it will not enjoy home field advantage as it did in 2002.

The coach will hold a news conference Friday on his strategy for the team.

Before assemblying the national squad on October 6th, Advocaat will watch domestic league games Sunday and Wednesday to assess players.

Advocaat was accompanied by assistant coach Pim Verbeek, who served under Guus Hiddink in the 2002 World Cup.
