KMA Forecasts Clear Skies for October

October will bring clear skies and bright weather to the Korean Peninsula, as well as the possibility of a typhoon.

In its monthly forecast, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said the nation could be hit by a typhoon sometime in the month.

However, it added that the probability is ten percent or lower, as the past 30 years have seen only three typhoons during the month.

Clear skies are expected to make for perfect weather for outdoor activities such as picnics and hiking.

A KMA official said the autumnal foliage this year would be more beautiful and richer in color than last fall's.

The official also warned the public to guard against catching cold from the increasing daily temperature differences.
