The men's basketball team on Thursday suffered its worst loss against China, 93-49, in the semifinals of the Asian Basketball Championships.
In Doha, Qatar, China's NBA All-Star center Yao Ming had 27 points and 15 rebounds in overwhelming under-sized South Korea, which shot just five of 18 three-pointers and scored just two points in the third quarter.
South Korea lead 24-17 in the first quarter, but China took over after Yao's layup made it 28-27.
The Chinese then expanded their advantage to 48-33 at halftime and 71-35 in the third.
Center Seo Jang-hoon led South Korea with just nine points.
