Most of the country's soccer experts do not expect the national team to advance to the second round of next year's World Cup.
The Korea Soccer Institute on Thursday said its poll on 372 soccer experts said only 9.7 percent believe the team will reach the second round.
Around 47 percent said the team will win at least one game, but 25 percent thought otherwise.
Just over 19 percent said South Korea will lose all three group games as it did in the 1990 World Cup in Italy.
Despite the bleak forecast, 55 percent said the team's goal should be to reach the second round while 42 percent said to just to win a game.
Under one percent expected the team to match its 2002 semifinal run in Germany next year.
