A news report says new soccer coach Dick Advocaat probably agreed to a salary of one million dollars.

Yonhap News Agency on Tuesday said the Korea Football Association agreed to give him compensation similar to that of Guus Hiddink for the 2002 World Cup.

The association has declined to reveal details of Advocaat's salary.

Advocaat in July signed with United Arab Emirates for a reported 800,000 euros a year.

The KFA paid Humberto Coehlo an estimated 700,000 dollars and the recently-departed Jo Bonfrere 650,000 dollars.

Advocaat could earn considerably more if the team advances far in next year's World Cup.

The KFA offered Bonfrere, who resigned last month, 200,000 dollars if the team mades the second round, 500,000 dollars for the quarterfinals, 850,000 dollars for the semifinals, 1.5 million dollars for runner-up and a cool three million dollars for the world title.
