Manchester United was held to a 1-1 draw at home by Manchester City, with midfielder Park Ji-sung playing 80 minutes.

Park left the game with ten minutes to play, but had a few chances on goal including one in the eleventh minute.

United striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy scored in the final minute of first-half injury time to give his team the lead.

But City's Joey Barton kicked in the tying goal in the 75th minute as United goalie Edwin van der Sar gave up his first score of the season.

Late in the game, Van der Saar stretched across goal to tip Joey Cole's shot over the bar to preserve the draw.

City is third in the standings and United is a point behind in fourth.
