'Advocaat, Verbeek to Coach Nat'l Team'

The Dutch soccer magazine Voetbal International says Dick Advocaat and assistant Pim Verbeek will coach the South Korean national soccer team.

The report on Saturday quoted Dutch network RTV as saying the two Dutchmen will take over the team. The Korea Football Association has not commented on the report.

Advocaat, coach of United Arab Emirates, earlier denied receiving an offer from the KFA. The two-time Netherlands skipper signed in July a one-year contract with UAE, which says it will not let him go.

Verbeek, an assistant under Guus Hiddink during the 2002 World Cup, is on Advocaat's UAE coaching staff. He has coached Kyoto Purple Sangha of Japan and Netherlands Antilles.
