Pro soccer player Manic Radivoje, a naturalized citizen who was born in Serbia-Montenegro, left South Korea Thursday for his children's education.

The daily Sports Chosun said the Incheon United striker wanted to send his four kids to an international school in Seoul, but balked at the price tag of 120 million won.

The report said his wife threatened divorce if he did not move back to Serbia.

Radivoje debuted in the domestic league in 1996 and won the Most Valuable Player award the same year with Busan. He played in 205 games in the K-League.

United agreed to cancel his remaining contract and allow him to pursue playing opportunities in his motherland.
