The heads of the two Koreas’ sports governing bodies will meet to discuss the creation of their countries' first-ever joint team for the upcoming Asian Games.

The head of the Korea Olympic Committee, Kim Jung-gil, will meet Thursday with his North Korean counterpart Moon Jae-deok and the president of the Olympic Council of Asia, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Sabah, in Guangzhou, China.

Discussions will center on how to form an inter-Korean team for the 2006 Doha Asian Games in Qatar.

The Olympic Council of Asia is a governing body of all sports in Asia with the mandate to supervise and encourage sport at the highest competitive levels.
