Pitcher Kim Wins Season's 4th Game

Pitcher Kim Byung-hyun of the Colorado Rockies on Monday finally won his fourth game of the season.

Kim gave up just one run and five hits over seven innings in a 2-1 win over the host San Francisco Giants.

His victory spoiled the pro debut of 20-year-old Matt Cain, a highly-touted pitcher who is the second-youngest player in the U.S. Major League Baseball.

Kim also had six strikeouts and did not allow a walk for the second time this season. The win was his season's first on the road and the first in his last seven starts.

Kim is 4-10 on the season with an earned-run average of 4.90.
