The torch that will burn at the 16th Asian Athletics Championship was lit Monday at Mt. Mani on the South Korean island of Ganghwa.
The torch is to be carried by five-hundred-30 runners from the mountain to the port city of Incheon before coming to its resting spot at the Munhak Stadium on Thursday.
The Asian Athletics Championship is slated to open on Wednesday for a four-day run.
