Stem Cell Scientists to Attend Seoul Forum

Leading cloning scientists from abroad on Thursday will attend an international symposium on stem cell research in Seoul.

The Science and Technology Ministry on Tuesday said the third Seoul Symposium on Stem Cell Research will convene at Yonsei University.

During the two-day conference, 21 scientists from five countries will gives presentations on 17 subjects on stem cell research to some 600 researchers from home and abroad attending.

Professor Hal Broxmeyer of Indiana University, who conducted the first cord blood transplant on a five-year-old patient in 1989, will give a lecture.
