Korean Pitchers Win Two of Three Starts

Two of three Korean pitchers who started for their Major League Baseball teams Friday earned wins.

Park Chan-ho of the San Diego Padres won his tenth game of the season for the first time in four years in a 12-7 win over the host Atlanta Braves.

He allowed five earned runs in five and one third innings but got 20 hits from his batters to go 10-6 for the season.

Seo Jae-woong of the New York Mets improved to 5-1 in a 1-0 win over the Washington Nationals at home. Allowing no hits over eight innings, he lowered his earned-run average to 1.09.

Kim Byung-hyun of the Colorado Rockies was the odd-man out, falling to 3-10 after a 5-3 loss to the host Chicago Cubs. He allowed four earned runs and a season-high five walks in four and two-thirds innings.
