South Korean archers notched three gold medals in a single day at the 23rd Universiade in Turkey.

During group competition in Izmir on Tuesday, Team Korea took the top slot in three archery events, with the first gold coming in the women’s recurve and two others from compounds of both men and women's competitions.

South Korean residents in Turkey enthusiastically rooted for the team, waving the national flag throughout the matches.

The women’s team in recurve started two points behind Ukraine in the final, but reversed the trend in the middle to eventually take home the gold.
