The city of Incheon will be competing against India’s New Delhi to host the 2014 Summer Asian Games.

A municipal official said Friday that the Olympic Council of Asia had selected the two Asian cities as the final candidates in the bid to host the regional sports event.

The official added that Incheon will send a delegation to the executive meeting of the council in Guangzhou, China next month and present the city's ideas for organizing the games.

The final venue will be decided at the OCA’s general meeting during the 2006 Doha Asian Games, which will take place in December of that year.
