Rookie midfielder Park Ji-sung of Manchester United has received praise from Coach Alex Ferguson for his "fantastic breakthrough" in his home debut.

In a Champions League qualifier against Debrecen of Hungary Wednesday, Park took to the field in the 22nd minute of the second half, showing several aggressive attacks and shots but failing to score a goal.

Ferguson said in a post-game news conference that Park will help boost the team's offense and expressed satisfaction with his play.
