Women's Team Wins East Asian Football Championship

The women’s national football team won the East Asian Football Federation Women’s Cup.

In a final match against Japan in the Daegu Worldcup Stadium on Saturday, the Korean side played neck-and-neck with Japan to finish in a 0-0 tie, snatching the cup with a total record of 2 wins and 1 tie.

The victory gave Korea the very first championship of the tournament, which was created this year.

Meanwhile, North Korea came in second with a total record of 2 wins and 1 loss, after Cho Yoon-mi helped his team defeat China 1-0 with a powerful goal in the second half.
