South and North Korean soccer teams will face each other at the East Asia Football Championship and at the East Asian Football Federation Women’s Cup in Jeon-ju on Thursday.

The men's squads of the two Koreas will play their first A-match game each other since a preliminary match at the 1993 U.S. World Cup.

The South Korean men’s team leads the inter-Korean series with five wins, two ties and one defeat.

Meanwhile, following its historic victory against China, the South Korean women’s team will face its North Korean counterpart, which is ranked seventh in the world.

The women will play first, followed by the men’s match.
