Golfer Jang Wins Women's British Open

Golfer Jang Jeong has won her first LPGA title six years after her U.S. debut.

In the final round of the British Women's Open Sunday, the 25-year-old hit a three-under 69 for a total score of 16 under-272 over four rounds.

Jang is South Korea's fourth woman player on the LPGA Tour to win a major this year, joining Grace Park, Kim Joo-yeon and Pak Se-ri, who won the British Women’s Open in 2001.

Her victory finished a South Korean sweep of the LPGA's three national titles following Kim's win at the U.S. Women’s Open and Lee Meena's triumph at the Canadian Women's Open.

Jang earned 280,000 dollars with the win for fifth on the money list with total winnings of 744,161 dollars.
