Soccer wunderkind Park Chu-young could miss the East Asian Football Championship due to injury.

The 20-year-old FC Seoul striker apparently hurt his right foot in a K-League match earlier this month and worsened it during the national team’s training camp in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

The Asian Football Confederation's Young Player of the Year did not play in his team's 2-1 exhibition loss to Argentina's Boca Juniors Tuesday.

He is also likely to miss South Korea’s opening tournament match Sunday against China in Daejeon.
