Breakthrough to Help Treat Brain Tumors

A new finding suggests that adult stem cells could help cure brain tumors.

A research team led by Catholic University professors Jeon Shin-soo and Gang Seok-goo on Thursday reported a significant decrease in brain tumors after cultivating them with immune cells that were differentiated from the matrix cells of mice marrow.

The team created malignant brain tumors for its experiments.

The study appeared in the July edition of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery's journal.
