NK Teams Arrive for Soccer Tournament

The North Korean men's and women's soccer teams arrived in Seoul Tuesday to play in the second East Asian Football Championship, which kicks off on Sunday.

Sixty-seven sports delegates including 25 men and 22 women players took a chartered Air Koryo flight via a direct West Sea route to Seoul and were greeted upon their arrival at Incheon International Airport by South Korea's Football Association Vice Chairman Lee Hwoi-Taek and other officials.

The players will stay in Seoul until Friday and move to Daejon, Jeonju and Daegu for their scheduled games.

On August 4th, the two Koreas' men's team will play their first A match in 12 years in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province.

The tournament, featuring the two Koreas, China and Japan, runs through August 7th.
