Four students won the 37th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) in Taipei, Taiwan last week.

The team won all four gold medals in the annual high school competition against some 220 students from 59 countries worldwide.

Vietnam came in second with three golds and a silver, and Russia, Taiwan, Iran and Azerbaijan tied for third with two golds and two silvers each.

South Korea won its third title in the competition, also taking first in 1999 and 2001.

The country's third-largest city of Daegu will host next year's event.
