Manchester United coach Alex Ferguson praised the midfielder's play at Hong Kong Stadium, saying Park showed exactly what the team wants from him.
Ferguson said Park displayed very good movement off the ball and was "very quick, two-footed and brave."
British reporters covering United's Asia tour also expressed high hopes for Park, saying his dynamism and energy will jumpstart the team in fulfilling Ferguson's expectation to become an "instant hit."
The BBC said many of United's newcomers including Park created many scoring chances in the game against Hong Kong.
Daily Mail reporter Ian Redmon called Park a strong and speedy player with excellent technique.
Fellow staff writer David Macdonald said the midfielder is a "multi-player" who can fill either wing spot to create scoring opportunities, and will raise the team’s prospects this season.
