Former national soccer coach Guus Hiddink will help set up a pro team in South Gyeongsang Province.

Province officials said Tuesday that Hiddink accepted a request from South Gyeongsang Governor Kim Tae-ho to serve as special advisor for the province's launch of a new team in December.

The Dutchman is in South Korea coaching PSV Eindhoven in the 2005 Peace Cup Korea invitational tournament.

Hiddink also invited staff from the proposed team to visit the Dutch city of Eindhoven to learn sports management.
