New FC Metz striker Ahn Jung-hwan promises to succeed in the French first league.

In his official welcoming ceremony in France Tuesday, he said he is confident of scoring many goals for the attack-oriented French team and that he will leave his mark on Metz.

Ahn also displayed his new jersey with the number 19 he wore in the 2002 World Cup.

To join training camp soon, Ahn will sit out Wednesday's game against FC Sochaux but will debut in a friendly match with Sporting Lokeren of Belgium Sunday in Luxemborg.
