Former South Korea soccer coach Guus Hiddink could take over the Australian team on a part-time basis.

The 59-year-old Dutchman, who stunned the world by taking South Korea to the 2002 World Cup semifinals, says he may accept Football Federation Australia's offer of the coaching job.

The coach of the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven told a Seoul daily that he received offers from four countries but said he wants to go to Australia as early as next month.

The paper said the deal will initially involve Hiddink taking over the Australian team on a part-time basis while he juggles his commitments with PSV.

Hiddink and PSV will come to Seoul Tuesday to play in the 2005 Peace Cup Korea tournament.
