Park Ji-sung, the first Korean player in the U.K. Premier League, has formally joined his new team, Manchester United, upon receiving his work papers from the British Embassy in Amsterdam.

The former PSV Eindhoven midfielder will soon attend a news conference arranged by his team before joining training sessions, most likely on the following day.

A Manchester United official expected a welcoming ceremony and formal news conference to be held early next week.

Meanwhile, Dutch newspapers speculated that PSV wingback Lee Young-pyo may follow in Park’s footsteps and transfer to Manchester United.
