PSV Eindhoven has recently rejected an offer of five million euros from AS Monaco for wingback Lee Young-pyo.

Goal.com said the seven-time French champion was impressed by Lee's performance in its Champions League loss to PSV.

Joining PSV in January 2003, Lee has developed into a crucial fixture at left wingback with his stamina and fancy footwork.

The versatile player has played in 77 games for his country.

His PSV contract will expire next year but has a one-year option.

The report said PSV wants to resign the 28 year-old through 2009, but Lee's agent has hinted at less-than-smooth negotiations.
