Inchoen has submitted an application to host the 2014 Summer Asian Games.

A municipal official said Tuesday that the city had conveyed its desire to hold the games to the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

Accordingly, Incheon will contend against counterparts in India and Jordan for the honor of hosting the Asian sports gala.

The venue is expected to be decided at the OCA’s general meeting during the 2006 Doha Asian Games, which will open in December.
