Nat'l Archery Team Shines in Individual, Team Competitions

The men and women's archery teams won the gold medal in every individual and team competition at the World Outdoor Target Championships, sweeping all the events for the first time in eight years, last accomplishing the same feat in 1997.

At the 43rd World Outdoor Target Championships held in Madrid, Spain on Sunday, the Korean women’s team consisting of Lee Sung-jin, Yoon Mi-jin and Park Sung-hyun beat Ukraine 251-237 in the team final.

In the men’s team final, Jung Jae-hun, Choi Won-jong and Park Kyung-mo won the gold over an Indian team with the score of 244-232.

Meanwhile, in the individual finals, Jung Jae-hun and Lee Sung-jin snatched gold medals away from Japan’s Moriyama and Korean high school student Lee Tuk-young, respectively.
