The government may issue science and technology bonds to raise funds for related research and development.

In a Friday meeting, the ruling Uri Party and the Science and Technology Ministry agreed to consider attracting floating money given the inadequate amount of state budget to finance R&D activities.

The two sides also decided to raise next year's space development budget 56.5 percent to 245 billion won in order to launch a second science and technology satellite by 2007.
